Irregular Verbs
Big Idea: irregular verbs change when you make them past tense
Example: teach- taught, catch- caught, write- wrote
Capitalization
Big Idea: proper nouns get capitalized (specific people, places, and things)

Word Study Week 1: suffixes -ness, -ment, -ion, and -tion
Big Idea: -ness means “in a state of”, -ment means “in a state of”, -ion means “an action or process”, and -tion means “and action or process”
